Ross Tamlin was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1958. In 1982 he emigrated to Australia and has been a full time artist since 2000.
Ross Tamlin's artworks are built up with layers of industrial and artists paints. His paintings represent a synthesis of art and function. Incorporating the aesthetics of modern industrial technique, the corrugation in the paintings is a visual illusion created by layers of paint and varnish. The use of text adds another layer of visual interpretation.
His artworks have been exhibited and collected worldwide.
