Freda was born in England and also trained there as an illustrator and dress designer. She then went to Switzerland where she worked as a fashion designer for Braunschweig Couture in Zurich. She is particularly successful with watercolors. She taught this subject at various art schools in Canada and Switzerland.
Freda loves the fine arts and has a passion for figurative painting; she lives in the Swiss Alps, and her love for garden flowers has produced several touching paintings. Her specialty are portraits, where she also did many commissioned works, among others for Léonard Gianadda, the well-known founder of the art gallery named after him in Martigny.
